What we remove · Ripoff Report listings

Remove a Ripoff Report listing from Google

Ripoff Report states that it never removes a report. That is true of the report; it is not true of the Google result, and the distinction is the whole job.

What this covers

Every copy of it, not just the first one.

Reports naming a person or business, the rebuttals attached to them, and the many scraper sites that republish Ripoff Report content to rank for the same name.

The route that works

How this one actually comes down.

The site's no-removal policy is genuine, so the work goes around it. For a UK or EU resident, a delisting request to Google addresses the search result rather than the page, and the balancing test favours the subject where the report is old and unevidenced. Where the report states a false fact, formal notice goes to the site's host and to Google rather than to the site. The scraper copies, which have no such policy, come down first.

What we will not take money for

We do not use, and will not quote for, the paid "arbitration" and reputation programmes the site itself markets. They do not remove the Google result.

$6,000 Per link · refunded if not removed

The terms for this link

One published fee, whatever the platform. The removal window for complaint and review sites starts at 42 days and is fixed in the engagement letter at signing, so a later change to our defaults cannot alter your case.

  • i.Assessed in writing within 48 working hours, saying whether it can go and by which route.
  • ii.Removed means the URL no longer appears in Google for the agreed search terms, checked from the UK, the US and one EU location on two days at least seven days apart.
  • iii.If it is still there when the window closes, the fee is refunded in full within five working days. No deduction for work performed.
  • iv.Monitored monthly for twelve months. If it returns at the same URL, we act again at no charge.

Questions

About this one specifically.

Can the report itself really never be deleted?

In practice, no. What we remove is the URL from Google search results for your agreed terms, which is what clause 4 of the engagement letter defines and what the fee is measured against.

What about the copies on other sites?

Those are usually easier than the original, and they are included in the same fee.

Glassdoor defends its reviews hard and publishes the grounds on which it will take one down. Those grounds are narrower than most people think and wider than most firms bother to use.

  • Remove a Trustpilot review from Google

Trustpilot removes more reviews than any comparable platform, because it polices its own guidelines and requires reviewers to evidence a genuine experience.
