Remove a cached page from Google
The page is down, the result is still there, and the snippet still says what it always said. That gap is a technical problem with a specific fix.

The route that works
How this one actually comes down.
Once the source is gone or altered, the outdated-content tool removes the result and refreshes the snippet — but only once Google can see the change, which is why the request is made with the evidence rather than on its own. Mirrors and syndication copies are separate URLs and are handled as such, within the same fee if they are copies of a link we removed.
What we will not take money for
If the original page is still live and unchanged, there is nothing to clear and no request will succeed.
The terms for this link
One published fee, whatever the platform. The removal window for images and cached copies starts at 21 days and is fixed in the engagement letter at signing, so a later change to our defaults cannot alter your case.
- i.Assessed in writing within 48 working hours, saying whether it can go and by which route.
- ii.Removed means the URL no longer appears in Google for the agreed search terms, checked from the UK, the US and one EU location on two days at least seven days apart.
- iii.If it is still there when the window closes, the fee is refunded in full within five working days. No deduction for work performed.
- iv.Monitored monthly for twelve months. If it returns at the same URL, we act again at no charge.

How long does Google take to refresh?
Usually a few days once it can see the change. The slow part is getting the source changed, not the request.
Is this included if you removed the original?
Yes. Clause 4 measures removal against the search result, so a surviving cached copy means the case is not settled.
