Remove a mugshot from Google
Mugshot sites republish an arrest photograph regardless of what happened next, then rank it for your name. Charges dropped, case dismissed, conviction spent: the page does not change and the search result does not care.

The route that works
How this one actually comes down.
Google demotes these sites by policy and will remove a result where the record is outdated or the subject was never convicted. Several US states now prohibit charging for removal, which has closed many of the worst operators and given the surviving ones a reason to comply. For UK and EU residents, a spent conviction is a strong delisting argument and the balancing test in NT1 & NT2 v Google is the framework.
What we will not take money for
We never pay a removal fee to a mugshot site. Paying them funds the model and marks you as someone who will pay again.
The terms for this link
One published fee, whatever the platform. The removal window for personal-data pages starts at 35 days and is fixed in the engagement letter at signing, so a later change to our defaults cannot alter your case.
- i.Assessed in writing within 48 working hours, saying whether it can go and by which route.
- ii.Removed means the URL no longer appears in Google for the agreed search terms, checked from the UK, the US and one EU location on two days at least seven days apart.
- iii.If it is still there when the window closes, the fee is refunded in full within five working days. No deduction for work performed.
- iv.Monitored monthly for twelve months. If it returns at the same URL, we act again at no charge.

Should I just pay the site to take it down?
No. It funds the business model, it identifies you as someone who pays, and in several states charging for it is now unlawful. The routes above cost you nothing extra and do not reward the operator.

Substantially. An arrest without a conviction is the strongest version of the outdated-information argument, both with the site and with Google.
